Prop Firm TradersWithEdge announced the reintegration of MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform into its trading platforms. The company posted on social media X stating: "MetaTrader 5 returns to TradersWithEdge."
TradersWithEdge Launches MT5 Platform
MT5 is known for its advanced features and user-friendly interface, being a popular trading platform that offers a range of tools, including comprehensive charting options, automated trading capabilities, and extensive market analysis features.
The reintroduction of MT5 is expected to enhance the trading experience for TradersWithEdge users, catering to both beginners and experienced traders.
In addition to the platform's return, TradersWithEdge is offering a limited-time promotional campaign with a buy-one-get-one-free offer for Phase 1 and Phase 2 challenge accounts.
Meanwhile, Prop Firm FXIFY is experiencing regulatory changes driven by MetaQuotes (the developer of MetaTrader platforms). MetaQuotes has instructed FXIFY to cease providing MetaTrader services to US traders.
Consequently, FXIFY will transition its US traders from MetaTrader to the DX platform.
ASIC Monitors Prop Trading Industry
Finance Magnates recently reported that Rhys Bollen from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) confirmed that the regulator is closely monitoring the rise of Prop Trading firms and their involvement in CFD trading.
ASIC Plans to Focus on Emerging CFD Distribution Channels in 2024/25, including prop trading services. This follows other regulators (such as Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission CySEC and European Securities and Markets Authority ESMA) recently indicating increased scrutiny of prop trading. ASIC's attention highlights regulators' growing interest in the prop industry, although ASIC also covers other areas.
