What is FTMO?

When I first learned about this, it was like discovering a new world, but I also know that there are too many scams in the foreign exchange market, so I have to work hard to study by myself.

Fortunately, a few Taiwanese around me also use it, so I slowly became familiar with this model, and then I actually signed up for it, but because of too many details and rules, it's better to organize a Chinese version by myself for later review and record purposes, and also share this information with those who need it.

How to register for an FTMO account?

Whether FTMO is opening a demo account or paying for registration, you need to firstCreate a unified FTMO account, You can link to your Google, FB, or Apple account to create it, and you only need to select it when you enter the account background. Free Trial for demo account or Pay to sign up for FTMO Challenge for accounts of different specifications。

Step 1 | Fill in the information

Must be turned on firstFTMO official website, then clickFTMO Challenge for paid registration (To useDemo account Free Trial You also need to apply for an account first).

And because it is the first time to register, no matter which one you choose, you will first jump to the login account screen and ask to log in first.

Then click on the bottom“Register”Register a new account and fill in as required by them. Because they are all in English, I am afraid that some people are not very good at operating. Let me explain the details to be filled in a little bit.:

• Select title: Select gender
• First Name: Chinese Name
• Last Name: Chinese last Name
• Email: Mailbox (it is recommended to use the mailbox of your google account)
• Phone Number: Mobile phone (if you are in Taiwan, just enter the beginning of 09 directly)
• Select your country: Select your country

At this point, you don't need to set a password yet, it will be set later.

Then after all three boxes are ticked, you can click "Sign up”, and an official letter will be sent to the mailbox you just filled in.

After receiving the letter in the mailbox, click the blue ”Set your password”, which is used to set the password.

Enter it for the first time and reconfirm the password for the second time. After setting it up, there will be a green tick on both sides. Click the blue ”Create” button below to create an FTMO account.

After that, to log in to your FTMO account, you need to log in with the account password you just set. Then log in to FTMO and directly enter the account password you just set in ”Sign in to your account”. You can refer to the tutorial in the video below.

Step 2 | Select account

Then log in to your FTMO account, click the first ”Client Area” in the left menu, and two blocks will appear, namelyFree demo account Free TrialandFTMO Challenge for paid registration。

Free demo accountUnlimited applications are available. Each account has a 14-day period. After the expiration date, you can apply for the next demo account. The demo account also provides background data analysis to allow traders to understand their account status and operational performance.

Trading Account Currency

First of all, you need to choose the currency of funds used in the account. Usually, the United States dollar (USD) will be the more commonly used trading currency. You can choose the United States dollar.

Risk Mode and Account Balance

Whether it is a free demo account or a paid registration account, there are two modes (Risk Mode) to choose from, and you can configure it according to the conditions you want.FTMO Proprietary trading rules》This article has detailed rules and conditions. The point to be reminded here is that in addition to the size of account funds affecting the registration fee, the two models provided by FTMO also affect the registration fee.

Regarding the two types and the size of the account funds and other items, they are organized in the table below.:

You can see that in accounts of the same fund size, the registration fees for the two models are different，AggressiveWill be better thanNormalIt's a bit more expensive. No matter which one it is, FTMO will charge the registration fee in euros (the form is also stated in euros). If you want to change the registration fee to U.S. dollars, you can choose USD in ”Payment Currency” (refer to the video description). The registration fee at the bottom will naturally be converted into the price of U.S. dollars at the time.

Account Type

In the leverage ratio, there are two kinds of leverage (only the Normal mode has two kinds, and the Aggressive one is fixed). The default is 100 times leverage. The attached conditions are that positions cannot be left overnight, weekend trading, and trading before and after the data is released; Swing is 30 times leverage., The attached conditions are that you can stay overnight, trade on weekends, and trade before and after the data is released.

It should be noted that in the two levels of the exam after paid registration, no matter which type you choose (default or Swing), you can stay overnight, trade on weekends, and trade before and after the data is released! When the exam is passed, these three conditions will be officially activated.

The two levels of the exam will affect the leverage ratio because of the choice of preset (1:100) or Swing (1:30) types. This is the same after the exam is passed or passed. If you want to adapt to the conditions of the entire account as soon as possible, it is recommended that you can directly choose what you want.

Platform

FTMO supports three trading platforms, namely MT4, MT5, and Ctrader. These platforms depend on which one you are more accustomed to. The supported devices include Windows, Mac, mobile phones, computers and tablets.downloaded.

After that, if you want to place an order for a transaction, you will go to these platforms to trade, and you will not place an order for a transaction on the FTMO interface. The FTMO official has developed its own software, just like the FTMO background you are now logged in to, you can also download this app on your mobile phone to track your transaction data, but it does not support placing an order for a transaction., The function is also less than the computer version.

Payment Currency

This is the currency of payment, you can choose the currency to be paid. And because FTMO is a European company, the registration fee is denominated in euros (so the registration fee is in whole euros). If you want to convert to other currencies, it will be based onExchange Rates official(It is not an exchange platform, it provides a service for companies to connect exchange rate quotations) to convert exchange rates. It is normal to convert other currencies into whole numbers.

You can click the button below to convert the current exchange rate. After selecting USD, the registration fee at the bottom will naturally be converted into the current USD price.

Explanation of terms

Then there will be two documents about the terms, the first document is“FTMO GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS”, It's about their service policies, payment terms, etc., including the following 18 items. Because the terms are more detailed, let me briefly talk about the key points of each item.:

The second document is“Cancellation & Refund Policy”, contains“RIGHT TO WITHDRAW FROM A CONTRACT” and “DEFECTIVE PERFORMANCES”, Explain two of the above terms independently.

After reading it, if you have no problem, you can tick all the boxes. After checking again, you can click the payment registration button at the bottom.“Confirm & Proceed to payment”

Step 3 | Payment Registration

Then you will be redirected to the account information verification page to confirm the conditions you just selected and the registration fee.

There are many PAYMENT support methods. I use VISA AS a DEMONSTRATION in THE VIDEO. You can click on the first block, and then FILL in the payment information and YOU can do IT.

After the payment is completed, wait about 3 minutes and you will receive a letter from FTMO in the mailbox. The subject of the letter is ”Order Confirmation of your FTMO Challenge”. There will be some details of the account when you go down. Please remember to select the blue button ”LOGIN CREDENTIALS” to activate the account.

After clicking, you will be taken to your FTMO account. You can view all the information about the account in ”Credentials” as follows:

• Login: The ID code of the account, used to log in to MT4/MT5
• Password: Account password, originally the default, you can choose ”Change” on the right to change the password
• Investor password: This is the read-only permission of the account. You can only watch the account status but cannot trade the login method. If you just operate by yourself, don't bother.
• Server: Log in to the MT4/MT5 server, the paid registration server will be“FTMO-Server”; If you choose a free demo account, the server is“FTMO-Demo”

The following three are all trading platforms. MT4/MT5 will appear according to the platform you selected at the time. You can download it according to your Windows or macOS device.
