ThinkMarkets' Prop Firm Brand: ThinkCapital
The trend of retail brokers entering the prop trading sector continues to grow.
Recently, ThinkMarkets joined this trend by launching its prop trading brand called ThinkCapital. Although ThinkMarkets has not officially announced this news yet, the ThinkCapital website is already online and can be browsed.
More Brokers Will Enter Prop Trading
Australia-based ThinkMarkets has joined the ranks of forex and CFD brokers offering prop trading services and technical fund trading services. This trend was initially started by Axi, OANDA, and Hantec Markets, with IC Markets, Traders Trust, Trade.com, and Blueberry Markets subsequently joining the movement.
According to its website, IC Markets provides prop trading services through its UAE-registered entity TC Systems FZE, with services officially launched at the end of last month.
Moreover, similar to other prop trading services, ThinkCapital "only offers simulated trading services and trader education tools". Interestingly, currently only Axi provides live trading for its funded traders. Meanwhile, OANDA treats these traders as signal generators and executes trades in the live market according to its own risk management strategies.
European Traders Welcome to Participate
ThinkCapital's services have fewer restrictions compared to other brands, allowing traders from European countries except Croatia to participate. However, like most prop trading brands under brokerage firms, ThinkMarkets' prop trading brand will not offer services to US traders.
ThinkMarkets has been providing services for other prop trading brands for some time. Its services include price data for various asset classes, management dashboards, and customer relationship management systems.
Additionally, it licenses its proprietary trading platform ThinkTrader to prop trading companies. Interestingly, the broker used to license its MetaTrader license to prop trading companies in a white-label manner, but now its website no longer mentions MetaTrader when introducing services for prop trading companies.
Currently, ThinkCapital is offering prop trading services on the MetaTrader 5 platform and plans to add the ThinkTrader platform in the future.
The website also mentions that prop trading services will integrate TradingView, allowing traders to trade directly on the TradingView platform.
